Is Cannabis (Recreational) Legal in the Netherlands?

Cannabis is technically illegal in the Netherlands but tolerated under the gedoogbeleid (tolerance policy). Coffeeshops can sell up to 5 grams per person per transaction. Personal possession of up to 5 grams is not prosecuted. Growing up to 5 plants for personal use is tolerated.
