Yes, you must be at least 18 years old and have valid identification with you. We accept Dutch ID cards, passports and European identity cards. Without valid ID we unfortunately cannot serve you, even if you look older.
Most coffeeshops only accept cash due to banking regulations. We recommend withdrawing cash in advance. Some coffeeshops do have an ATM nearby, but this varies by location.
Smoking tobacco is prohibited in all Dutch coffeeshops since the introduction of the smoking ban. You may smoke pure cannabis or hash without tobacco. For smoking joints with tobacco you must go to a special smoking room or outside.
